Candy Bouquets
These are a fun gift idea that can be individualized for each recipient. You will need an assortment of candy bars and other small candies that are a favorite of the recipient. You will also need wooden skewers to attach the candies to, foam adhesive tabs, floral foam block, and a vase or container to put the bouquet in. Attach some foam adhesive tabs to the bottom of the floral foam block. Measure and cut the floral foam so that it will fit snugly into the container. Insert the floral foam block into the bottom of the chosen container. Attach the candy bars and candies to the wooden skewers with the adhesive foam tabs and arrange them in the vase or container by sticking them into the floral foam. You may want to shorten some of the skewers to add depth and interest. Attach a ribbon and card and you have a gift that is sure to bring more than one smile to the face of the recipient.
Candy Soda Glass
This is another fun gift idea that is sure to bring a smile to the intended recipient. You will need several small wrapped candies such as butterscotch pieces, peppermints, or even chocolate caramels. You will also need floral wire, wire cutters, a drinking glass or mug, a half of a Styrofoam ball that is cut to match the circumference of the glass, glue tabs, and a drinking straw.
Fill the soda fountain glass with the wrapped candies. Place the half Styrofoam ball on top and secure it to the glass with the glue tabs. Take your wire cutters, and cut 1” pieces of the floral wire. Twist the cut pieces of wire around one side of each wrapper like a twist tie. Attach the candies to the Styrofoam ball by pushing the wire into the Styrofoam starting at the bottom and working around the circumference. After your initial bottom row is completed, continue to attach the candies in rows in order to completely cover the Styrofoam so it looks like the soda is bubbling over. Push the drinking straw into the Styrofoam amid the candies. Push the drinking straw firmly so that it becomes secure in the Styrofoam. The placement of the drinking straw should be last and will add the final touch to your candy soda. Your gift is now ready to give away.
Creative gift ideas are only limited by your imagination. With a little ingenuity, you will be able to make a gift that will be remembered long after you give it.
